1. Kinetic and Potential Energy
- Kinetic Energy (K): Energy possessed by a body due to its motion. K = ½mv².
- Potential Energy (U): Energy stored due to position or configuration. Gravitational PE = mgh.
2. Work-Energy Theorem
The work done by the net force on a body is equal to the change in its kinetic energy.
3. Conservation of Energy
Energy can neither be created nor destroyed; it can only be transformed from one form to another. Total mechanical energy (K + U) remains constant in conservative fields.
